A Marondera man, who on three occasions paraded his manhood to a Grade Six female pupil before ordering her to “greet it”, appeared in court on Tuesday facing three counts of indecent assault.
19 year old Tapiwa Paundi of Paradise Park denied the charges when he appeared before Marondera magistrate Tendai Makwanya.
According to court papers, sometime in July this year, Paundi allegedly met the pupil on her way from school in Ruvimbo Park, Marondera.
It is alleged Paundi unzipped his trousers and took out his manhood before ordering the juvenile to “greet it”.
The complainant fled to her parents’ home which is nearby and immediately informed her 21-year-old sister, who ran out to check on the accused, but failed to locate him.
On the second count, during the same month, at around midday, the complainant was in the company of her sister on their way to a tuck-shop, when they met Paundi riding a bicycle.
Upon seeing the juvenile, Paundi allegedly stopped and pulled to the edge of the road and took out his manhood pretending he wanted to relieve himself. He turned and looked at the two with his manhood dangling out. He then got back on his bicycle and left the scene.
On the third occasion, during the same month, the complainant was coming from school with her friends when the accused approached them from behind ridding a bicycle before unzipping his trousers and showed off his manhood.
The juvenile ran and notified her sister again about the act.
A report was filed at ZRP Dombotombo Police Station.
On September 18, Paundi was arrested in connection with another case of public indecency involving an unidentified woman.
Police summoned the juvenile to the police station for identification purposes and she positively identified him.
The matter was postponed to today for trial. George Manhidza represented the State.
