Rapper Cassper Nyovest will fly the SA flag high when he jets off to London to perform at the One Africa Music Festival in London in May.
The rapper added that he was excited about representing the country. “I am the first South African to perform at the festival so I am super excited to represent you all,” he said.
Cassper’s manager, Tlee Mmolawa said that this was an incredible platform to showcase what the country has to offer.
Tlee said that they hoped that this would also open doors for other local artists. “The platform is a platform that really matters because we get to represent our country. We hope that it opens doors for other South African artists to be recognised, because there are a lot of deserving artists in this country,” he said.
Cassper joins an impressive lineup of African artists including Nigeria’s pop sensation P-Square, Afro-pop artist Victoria Kimani, the Nwa Baby hit-maker Flavour and Tiwa Savage. It all happens in London on May 13.
