DJ Black Coffee publicly apologised for the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning at Kong nightclub in Johannesburg.

AKA claimed that he was not late for his slot, but according to THE JUICE, event organiser, Rito Hlungwani from Awesome Events said: “The times slots for the DSTV iRock festival had been posted every week since June of this year in the newspapers so I don’t know how it’s possible for someone to say they didn’t know their time slot. But AKA was still late for his performance.”
